SO-L29 SERIES
SO-L29 plano-concave lenses combine negative optical power with the UV transmission and thermal stability of fused silica. They are used to expand collimated beams, increase the effective focal length of compound systems and introduce controlled divergence in UV-visible laser and spectroscopy paths.
Product Overview
Engineering Guidance
Focal length and back focal length are negative by convention. For a collimated input, place the concave surface toward the incident beam to reduce spherical aberration, and verify the edge thickness when selecting a retaining ring or compact barrel.
Select UV fused silica when ultraviolet performance, low fluorescence or thermal stability is required beyond standard K9 glass.
Custom substrate materials, dimensions, angular tolerances and coating bands can be reviewed for prototype and production quantities.
