SO-L13 SERIES
SO-L13 UV fused silica plano-concave cylindrical lenses diverge light in one axis while leaving the orthogonal axis substantially unchanged. They are used for line expansion, astigmatism correction, anamorphic beam shaping and UV-visible laser systems requiring negative cylindrical power.
Product Overview
Engineering Guidance
Select both rectangular dimensions and the negative effective focal length, then verify center thickness, edge thickness, curvature and back focal length. Rotation about the optical axis directly sets the powered meridian and must be controlled in the mount.
Use a matched positive cylindrical lens when building an anamorphic expander or correcting an elliptical beam profile.
Custom substrate materials, dimensions, angular tolerances and coating bands can be reviewed for prototype and production quantities.
