SO-P09 equilateral prisms disperse broadband light into its spectral components for spectroscopy, wavelength separation and educational optics. The series includes K9, optical quartz and UV fused silica options for different transmission and dispersion requirements.

Choose the prism around beam geometry and angular accuracy
Optical behavior
All three prism sides share the same nominal length and the apex angle is 60 degrees. Select the substrate according to wavelength range, then confirm side length, thickness, polished faces and antireflection-coating requirement.
Selection and handling
Angular dispersion depends on the selected material; use its refractive-index curve rather than treating all models as optically interchangeable.
