SO-L20 SERIES
SO-L20 plano-convex lenses are made from single-crystal silicon for infrared beam focusing and collimation. Silicon combines useful mid-infrared transmission with low density, high stiffness and good thermal conductivity, making this series suitable for thermal imaging, IR sensing, FTIR accessories and compact infrared laser assemblies.
Product Overview
Engineering Guidance
These lenses are not intended for visible transmission. Select the model by operating wavelength, diameter, effective focal length and coating band, then verify back focal length and center thickness against the detector or housing position.
Use the uncoated models only where Fresnel reflection is acceptable; select an IR-coated model when throughput and stray-reflection control are important.
Custom substrate materials, dimensions, angular tolerances and coating bands can be reviewed for prototype and production quantities.
